Lucy! What Are You Doing On The Table??

"Just checking out the day's harvest, that's all!"

Anybody have any good recipes that call for cherry or pear tomatoes?

  1. We just picked up a bunch at the Farmer's Market (we can't grow our own) and we have just been snacking on them. We also make them into a type of caprese salad. What a healthy kittie!

  3. They're very good rolled around in a skillet with a bit of olive oil and garlic and basil or oregano -- a nice side dish.

  5. Aw, Lucy is so cute. But get down Lucy, you shouldn't be on the table.

I use pear tomatoes in a recipe similar to Vicki's above and it's delicious and goes with just about everything. I also wet them, then pop them in a paper bag while they're wet, add sea salt, some freshly ground black pepper, and your favorite fresh herb and shake well. Dill is good, so are chives and chopped fresh basil. Delicious as a snack or with dinner. Lucy would be fascinated with the bag shaking.
